Just a short note to friends and colleagues who worked so hard and artist friends and collectors who were so stunningly generous in making this an event to remember: There are not enough words in the universe adequate to express my overwhelming gratitude and love for your kindness to me in what for a while seemed a very hostile universe. I forgot in my own darkness just what light can be generated by such acts of love and grace in my hour of need. May that love and grace surround each of you for all your days, and may my work and words add to the light.
