Marideth Sisco and Suzanne Chilton
Appearing at the Gainseville Historium today at 1 P.M. with Dennis Crider. Dennis has an exhibit of nature photographs and we might hum a few tunes and I will of course have some words to say. See you there.

Blackberry Winter Band put on a marvelous performance last week at the Springfield Art Museum for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks 40th Celebration. Click the link to see the photos.
Photos from Marideth’s birthday party last Sunday.
Yesterday was the seventieth birthday party for Marideth Sisco – long time friend. Many friends came out – more than I captured in photos. Here are some of my favorites.
Marideth Sisco is recently published in “Yonder Mountain – An Ozarks Anthology” edited by Anthony Priest. Get your copy at the Shiloah Museum of Ozark History in Springdale, AR this Saturday June 1, 2013. Marideth’s piece “Butterfield: An Introduction” is a three page intro to more in-depth stories coming to a reading place verynear you hopefully in the very near future!
“Program and booksigning by Anthony Priest, editor of Yonder Mountain: An Ozarks Anthology, published by the University of Arkansas Press. Priest is associate professor of English at Missouri State University–West Plains.”
Made a quick trip to Mountain Home, Arkansas yesterday with Sarah for the live radio interview on KTLO to promote my next appearance – a solo gig at Gassville In The Park on June 1, 2013. I will be in my booth all day selling my wares – books and CD’s. I will also speak, i.e. tell a fat bunch of whoppers, at 1:00 and 2:30 pm, so come on down, enjoy the music and games and stop by my booth for a chat. Gassville’s a cool little place whose people survived a tornado hit just a few years back. Most of my stories will be about former long time legislator Vada Sheid, who did more than anyone in its history to bring this part of Arkansas out of the wilderness and into the 20th century while we still lived there.
