I enjoyed meeting and listening to you when you were here in Memphis. The movie was very good. It is sad that the Ozarks has the severe impact of drugs like the rest of the country. I am looking forward to attending the Ozard Symposium in September. I graduated from Willow Springs High School in 1967. In a way, there have been major changes, but in other ways the people are the same.
    Regards
    Dale

I, too, have Willow Springs connections as my family–the Dale Beavers family lived there, but I think one other connection is your brother! Your brother Gary was a college friend at S of O–no clue to what happened to him. I enjoyed the music, movie and book of this incredible work that reflects our Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks a bit too vividly!

  2. so excited to be working on an outfit for you. Two friends have already recommended I see this amazing new film – Winters Bone. I got to tell them I’m making an outfit for you to wear to the Oscars. Havnt seen the film yet but have a date to see it Monday afternoon. Cant wait! Love getting to know your better. I just saw Winter’s Bone, with my Hubby, we both Loved it, and fell in love with your music… Everything about the time brought back memories for us, like surroundings, only we were raised in Eastern Canada…. Where can we hear more of you?
We’ll recommend this movie to everyone.

Hi, Diane. The soundtrack CD is available for digital download from iTunes and Amazon. Hard copy is also available from Amazon or from me. Amazon is a better deal, but mine are autograohed. You decide.

Glad you liked it, and I’m not surprised at the similarity despite different environments. Rural people everywhere have some amazing similarities.

Love the Genie costume…. Were you able to lift the pics from Hero’s cafe off my FB page? If not and you would still like them, I can try to send them to you.

    Blessings
